|ABOUT CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
How is it experienced?
Craniosacral therapy works with the whole person. When a therapist places her hands lightly on you she is using them to listen to you in much the same way that a counsellor might listen to your words.
Your body responds to this sensitive touch by beginning to listen to itself.
Craniosacral Therapy supports your body's innate ability to balance restore and heal itself, as well as helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy.
The practitioner senses tensions held in the body and helps to release them in a supported and comfortable way. During or after a session you may feel calm and energised, with a sense of stillness and relaxation.
What does a session involve?
A case history will be taken with emphasis on listening with care to the reasons for your visit. You then lie fully clothed on a treatment couch. Typically during the session you relax while the practitioner uses a number of gentle hand contacts on the head, base of the spine and other areas.
Who can benefit?
Because it is so gentle and non-invasive, Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for everyone from newborns to the elderly and may be effective for a wide range of physical and emotional conditions.
How much will it cost?
Appointments are charged at £40 for initial longer first appointments and £35 for subsequent appointments.
The number of treatments needed varies according to the reason for your visit and how long you have had your condition. This will be discussed with you at your first appointment.
